Hi, I’m Mo.
Nice to meet you!
As a Business Developer, on a daily basis I discuss with my existing and new clients about the feasibility of their ideas and try to support them in finding the fitting opportunity to go forward.
I use the vast knowledge that exists in the company’s more than ten-year experience in the field to offer my clients a strategic solution and find the best fitting scenario to collaborate on their innovative projects.
I had a unique experience of growing up all over the world, adapting to cultures and educational systems of more than 10 different countries in Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
After performing my Bachelors in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology at the University of Alberta (U of A), I decided to continue my post-graduate career at the U of A in Microbiology and Biotechnology. My passion for microbes and how they affect earth’s biogeochemical cycles brought me to the Netherlands where I studied my PhD in the world renown lab of Environmental Microbiology at Radboud University. During this time, my main focus was on Methane Oxidizing Bacteria that reside in rice fields and their involvement in the fluxes of greenhouse gases.
After realizing microbes’ potential in industrial settings, I became extremely fascinated with prospective use of any biological or biomedical findings. This desire brought me to ttopstart as a consultant, and now business developer, where I plan to build a bridge between theoretical research and industrial use by enabling the development of innovative products.
There are many entrepreneurs and innovators in the field that never meet the right people, do not have the right timing, or given the right opportunity to take their idea to the next step and be impactful. This is the problem I feel most passionate about tackling in my line of work. Paving the path for these ideas to shine and reach their fullest potential.
