Hi, I’m Sigrid.
Nice to meet you!
Within ttopstart, I am working as a consultant in the Programme Leadership team. I am involved in several EU-funded projects and mainly perform project management and sustainability-related activities.
By creating engagement and focusing on sustainability directly in the early stages of a project I aim to ensure that projects will make a lasting impact.
I studied European Public Health at Maastricht University. After my undergraduate studies I first pursued a master’s degree in Global Health at Maastricht University. During this study I became very interested in management aspects within the healthcare sector and decided to complement my knowledge with a master in Health Care Management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
I always knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare sector. As a child I wanted to become a doctor, but later chose to study public health and healthcare management as I liked how complex and challenging these fields are. I was also very much attracted by the interdisciplinary and international nature of these fields. Furthermore, I like that the healthcare sector is very dynamic and new therapies, medicines and tools are continuously being developed. I believe that these innovations are critical in improving care for everyone.

Managing a large research consortium can be very challenging. At ttopstart, I provide support in the non-scientific aspects of projects, such as project management, communication and dissemination, and sustainability activities.
